Okaloosa County Event Ordinance
Any event on public beach that will attract more than 49 people (including the wedding vendors) requires a PERMIT from the county
**As per county parks and recreation representative: The properties to the water line behind the businesses (condos, hotels, private beach houses) on Destin's beaches are private property. On Okaloosa Island all the beaches from the private property line to the water is PUBLIC beach except for the following locations that are privately owned: Seaspray Condominium, Destin West, Ramada Plaza Beach Resort, The Gulfarium, Sheraton Four Points Hotel.
Requirements are proof of a Million dollar liability policy, permission from Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office, Emergency Management Systems, approval from Parks and Recreation, approval from the Board of County Commissioners. Notarized Hold Harmless agreement
Deposit of $100.00 and County Fee of $100 and EBW fee $50.00 (total upfront $250 with $100 deposit refunded two-four weeks after the ceremony)
Enchanted Beach Weddings will submitt the necessary paperwork to apply for the permit. Our Liability policy will only cover the decorations provided by our company. We collect the $250 from you upfront and send in payment along with
paperwork to the county. Approximately two weeks after the ceremony, your $100
deposit will be mailed back to you.
Enchanted Beach Weddings carries all current licenses, insurance, permits needed to perform business on the beaches.
The county also require us (EBW) hold a "VENDOR PERMIT" with a yearly fee
to conduct business on the beaches. If you do not choose to use our services, please
make sure you are using a company that adheards to our city/county regulations
to insure continued business and harmony on our PUBLIC beaches.
Walton County Event Permit
Walton County requires a permit for any event taking place on the beach no matter the amount of people.
The Fees are $0-$100 (no deposit required)
