Okaloosa Island

On Okaloosa Island all the beaches from the private property line to the water is PUBLIC BEACH except for the following locations that are privately owned: Seaspray Condominium, Destin West, Ramada Plaza Beach Resort, The Gulfarium, Sheraton Four Points Hotel

A County Event Permit is required if you will have over 50 participants on any beach on Okaloosa Island (including Santa Rosa Blvd) except for the locations mentioned before. See information below.

Beasley Park

1550 Miracle Strip Pkwy (hwy 98) Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548

Beasley Park is a County Park which is located between FWB and Destin on Okaloosa Island.

It is near the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort, Four Points Sheraton, Seaspray Condominiums, and Destin West as well as many accommodations on Santa Rosa Blvd.

It has 2 covered pavillions, restooms, and handicapped access to the beach. This is very easy to find for out-of-town couples and guest. There is plenty of parking, but they do not allow RV's. You can rent a pavillion for $100 ($50 refund after clean up)

Henderson Beach State Park

Henderson is our #1 recommended location

for that more "secluded" beach

They have three boardwalks (3 more new ones coming soon) and will only allow three events at a time in one given time slot so this is a great area without alot of other weddings going on at the same time. Henderson charges beach

access fees for weddings but well worth it!

There are 2 covered pavillions, one middle access, rest room facilities, and great parking.

No events on Holiday weekends

Pavillions (for receptions or parties) can only be reserved between Oct 1st and April 30th $100 fee applies

James Lee County Park

Located next to the Crab Trap restaurant on Scenic Hwy 98, it has 3 covered pavillions, and rest room facilities. This county park is connected with a very busy restaurant and parking is limited during the busy summer months.

Destin

The properties to the water line behind the condos, hotels, beach houses, on Destin's beaches are PRIVATE property. Permission is need to conduct any event on their property. No county event permit is required: County Event PERMIT INFO see below or click here

Public Beach Access along Scenic Hwy 98

Crystal Beach area

There are several small public beach accesses along Hwy 98 in the Crystal Beach area. They do not offer much parking or have pavillions or restrooms. They can still be used for smaller wedding parties that are in walking distance of your accommodations.

Enchanted Beach Weddings will work with you to help you determine the best location for your ceremony. The decision is ultimately up to the couple. You have the final say. First we ask where you will be staying while in the area and look to having the ceremony at your beach house, hotel, or condo if you are staying on the beach. You must obatain permission and has to be verified through your accommodations. You should always ask if any fees will be assesed or time restraints. If you are not staying on the beach or do not have permission for access then we point out the closest public beach access to you. This helps in convience of driving especially in the busy heavy traffic summer months. Henderson State Park is the only public access that has to be booked ahead of time. Whether you love Destin or vacationed in Panama City since a child, the same sugar white sand and emerald green waters run a 100 miles from Pensacola to Panama City Beach.

Located in the heart of Destin behind the Silver Shells resort area. It has restroom facilities and is located close to several restaurants including Grazi's and The Back Porch.

Okaloosa County Event Ordinance

Any event on public beach that will attract more than 50people (including the wedding vendors) requires a PERMIT from the county

**As per county parks and recreation representative: The properties to the water line behind the businesses (condos, hotels, private beach houses) on Destin's beaches are private property. On Okaloosa Island all the beaches from the private property line to the water is PUBLIC beach except for the following locations that are privately owned: Seaspray Condominium, Destin West, Ramada Plaza Beach Resort, The Gulfarium, Sheraton Four Points Hotel.

Requirements are proof of a Million dollar liability policy, permission from Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office, Emergency Management Systems, approval from Parks and Recreation, approval from the Board of County Commissioners. Notarized Hold Harmless agreement

Deposit of $100.00 and County Fee of $100 and EBW fee $50.00 (total upfront $250 with $100 deposit refunded two-four weeks after the ceremony)

Enchanted Beach Weddings will submitt the necessary paperwork to apply for the permit. Our Liability policy will only cover the decorations provided by our company. We collect the $250 from you upfront and send in payment along with

paperwork to the county. Approximately two weeks after the ceremony, your $100

deposit will be mailed back to you.

Enchanted Beach Weddings carries all current licenses, insurance, permits needed to perform business on the beaches.

The county also require us (EBW) hold a "VENDOR PERMIT" with a yearly fee

to conduct business on the beaches. If you do not choose to use our services, please

make sure you are using a company that adheards to our city/county regulations

to insure continued business and harmony on our PUBLIC beaches.

Walton County Event Permit

Walton County requires a permit for any event taking place on the beach no matter the amount of people.

The Fees are $0-$100 (no deposit required)
